Business Solutions Internet/Intranet Developer (2 positions)

In a highly regulated and demanding environment, you’ll have the important and wide-ranging challenge of planning, analysing, testing, maintaining and supporting our intranet and internet sites. You’ll be involved in analysing business requirements, and devising technical solutions in line with their viability and the needs of the business generally. You’ll also assess third party proposals.

At the same time, you’ll have a hand in planning, controlling and reviewing new solutions and upgrades as we implement and integrate them. Hence the great emphasis we place on your experience of web design and web management. Ideally, this will be evidenced by your successful use of technologies including Microsoft, .NET, Sharepoint, SQL 2005, Java Script, XML, Web Services and Prince2 project management methodology, throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle.

This is a vital and influential role which will give free rein to all your creativity when it comes to assessing and introducing new technologies, and to your undoubted skills in providing both practical and strategic advice, and in generally controlling the way we develop our database-driven interactive web applications.
